Winner’s Bag: Dustin Johnson, WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play

AUSTIN, Texas — Dustin Johnson made it three consecutive PGA TOUR wins in an impressive showing at the World Golf Championship-Dell Technologies Match Play. The top-ranked player in the world never trailed during his seven matches and only made it to the end during his two matches on the final day against Hideto Tanihara and Jon Rahm that went the distance. Once again, Johnson’s TaylorMade Spider Tour putter was front and center at Austin Country Club. Johnson finished fifth in strokes gained: putting (plus 9.525) and made more than 554-feet worth of putts — tops in the field — with the mallet that’s been in play since last year at the BMW Championship. Johnson’s putter features a Pure Roll 80/20 insert that delivers the firmer feel he prefers, and a short, slant-neck hosel with no sightline on the crown. Taking a page from his wedges that have KBS’s Black Nickel shafts, Johnson had an all-black, non-glare shaft added to his putter as well. Here’s a look at the rest of the TaylorMade equipment in Johnson’s bag.
