Tinsley avoids punishment after shooting

Donnie Walsh, Indiana Pacers Chief Executive Officer and President, left, talks with Indiana Pacers guard Jamaal Tinsley, right, following practice in Indianapolis, Monday, Dec. 10, 2007. Tinsley and several companions were targeted in the early Sunday morning shooting that wounded the team's equipment manager. Mel Daniels, second from left, and David Morway, hidden behind Tinsley, also listen to Walsh.

The Indiana Pacers will not punish guard Jamaal Tinsley for his involvement in a shooting in front of a hotel. Tinsley met with coach Jim O’Brien and team president Larry Bird on Monday, a day after the player and several companions were targeted in the early Sunday shooting that wounded the team’s equipment manager.
