QB Testaverde active for Panthers

Carolina Panthers quarterback Vinny Testaverde was on the active roster for Sunday’s game against Atlanta despite a right Achilles’ tendon injury. Testaverde, who turns 44 on Tuesday, was expected to start ahead of undrafted rookie Matt Moore. David Carr was ruled out of the game late in the week after sustaining a concussion last Sunday against Tennessee.
