Kariya helps Blues beat Blue Jackets

Brad Boyes’ goal drought is over, and so is the St. Louis Blues’ frustration against the Columbus Blue Jackets. Paul Kariya scored in the first period and set up Boyes’ go-ahead goal with 2:27 to go in the St. Louis Blues’ 3-2 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Friday night. Boyes had nine goals in the first 10 games, but had totaled one assist in his previous five.
