Fast Deal beat Splendid in Spring by 1 1/2 lengths Friday in the $55,000 feature race for fillies and mares at Churchill Downs. Fast Deal, the 4-year-old daughter of Grand Slam ridden by Miguel Mena, ran 6 furlongs in 1:10.68 and paid $10.40, $3.80 and $2.60. Splendid in Spring returned $3.40 and $2.80, and Girls Pearls paid $2.40 to show.
