Brendan Shanahan ended Philadelphia’s perfect home record and its time alone in first place in the Atlantic Division. Shanahan scored the only goal in a shootout to lead the New York Rangers to a 4-3 win over Philadelphia on Thursday night, the Flyers’ first home loss of the season. “It shows that we’re doing something right,” Shanahan said.
