Oilers end 4-game skid, beat Coyotes

Edmonton Oilers center Marty Reasoner, left, falls to the ice as he attempts to avoid Phoenix Coyotes left winger Mathias Tjarnqvist, right, of Sweden, in the third period of a hockey game Thursday, Oct. 18, 2007, in Glendale, Ariz. The Oilers won, 4-2.

Raffi Torres was going to have to wait for the highlight shows to see his go-ahead goal. Torres scored twice, including a goal on a circus shot with 8:05 to play, and the Edmonton Oilers beat the Phoenix Coyotes 4-2 on Thursday night to snap a four-game losing streak. “That was the best game he’s played and not just from a productivity standpoint,” Oilers coach Craig MacTavish said.
