Ja Morant To Remain Out For Monday Against Mavericks

Morant has completed his eight-game suspension. However, Memphis has not committed to when their star guard will return to play. Grizzlies head coach Taylor Jenkins said that Morant will need time to get back up to speed before playing again.
Memphis went 5-3 while Morant was away from the team. That includes wins in five of their last six games.

Ham: Lakers anticipate LeBron return this season
Darvin Ham On LeBron James: We Anticipate Him Coming Back This Season
The Los Angeles Lakers haven’t attached a timeline to when LeBron James will return from right foot injury. However, speaking ahead of Sunday’s game, Darvin Ham gave the most positive update yet on where James is at.
“We anticipate him coming back at some point (this season),” Ham said.
James himself recently posted a positive update to social media. He tagged a picture of his feet with a caption that read “recharging” with a photo of a battery at nearly full charge.
James has been out since injury his right foot on February 26 in a win over the Dallas Mavericks. Los Angeles has gone 5-5 without James in the lineup over the last three weeks. The Lakers enter Sunday’s contest a half-game out of the 10 seed, which is the final spot in the Western Conference Play-In Tournament.
Anthony Edwards Out Of Walking Boot, Day-To-Day Moving Forward
The Minnesota Timberwolves got some good news regarding star guard Anthony Edwards. Edwards’ swelling has decreased in his sprained right ankle and it out of a walking boot. Edwards will be considered day-to-day as far as a return to the court.
Edwards was injured early in Friday’s double-overtime loss at the Chicago Bulls. He played just eight minutes before being forced from the game.
The first-time All-Star then missed Saturday’s game at the Toronto Raptors. That was Edwards’ first missed game of the season. That snapped a string of over 90 consecutive games played for the Wolves guard.
Dillon Brooks: I Hold A Lot Of Real Estate Over There In San Francisco
Throughout the Memphis Grizzlies win over the Golden State Warriors on Saturday, Dillon Brooks and Klay Thompson could be seen jawing at each other. Brooks and Thompson were talking trashing, with Brooks yelling “You suck!” at Thompson, while Thompson reminded Brooks of how many rings the Warriors have won.
Following the game, Brooks said the Grizzlies used that as motivation.
“He’s got four rings. That’s all he was saying. It’s motivation to us,” Brooks said. “We want a ring as well. Being able to go through the process of steps that we did last year, we keep going and learning from it all. It’s friendly trash talk, but I just hold a lot of real estate over there in San Francisco.”
From Thompson’s side, he didn’t seem overly phased by Brooks’ trash talk.
“I don’t care about Dillon Brooks,” Thompson said. “When he retires, I don’t think anyone will ever talk about Dillon Brooks ever again. I promise you. It’s sweet right now, but wait 10 years.”
Anthony Edwards In Walking Boot, Out Indefinitely
Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards will be out indefinitely after suffering a sprained right ankle on Friday night. Edwards was injured after playing only eight minutes in Minnesota’ double overtime loss at the Chicago Bulls.
Timberwolves head coach Chris Finch said Edwards is still in a walking boot on Saturday. Finch also said that there is no timetable for Edwards to return and that his star guard will be out indefinitely.
Edwards was a first time All-Star this season. He had appeared in all 71 games for the Wolves this season, and 93 consecutive games overall for Minnesota before this injury.
