White’s 100th goal lifts Thrashers in OT

Todd White scored the 100th goal of his career 1:34 into overtime to give the Atlanta Thrashers a 2-1 victory over the slumping Washington Capitals on Tuesday night. Atlanta improved to 6-3 under interim coach Don Waddell, the team’s general manager. The Capitals lost their 10th in 12 games after starting the season with three straight victories.
