Quarantine lifted at Churchill Downs

A quarantine was lifted on 19 horses who had been inside a Churchill Downs barn for nearly two weeks after a horse tested positive for equine herpes virus. A third round of blood and nasal tests revealed none of the horses showed evidence of illness and the risk of exposure to the infection was “minimal,” state equine programs manager Rusty Ford said.
