Bushwacker wins $105,800 Vernon Underwood at Hollywood Park

Bushwacker led all the way in winning the $105,800 Vernon O. Underwood Stakes by three-quarters of a length Sunday at Hollywood Park. Ridden by Joe Talamo, Bushwacker covered six furlongs in 1:08.47 and survived a foul claim by Corey Nakatani, who finished second on In Summation. “The problem is that he was herding my horse,” Nakatani said.
