Caps sign F Gordon to 1-year contract
Restricted free agent Boyd Gordon has signed a one-year, $761,000 contract to remain with the Washington Capitals. The 25-year-old forward had five goals and nine assists in 63 games last season. He was third on the team with a 56.1 percent faceoff percentage and was a regular member of the penalty killing unit.
