Vikings waive veteran CB Gordon

The Minnesota Vikings have waived cornerback Charles Gordon. The team announced the move Monday. Gordon was entering his fourth season undrafted out of Kansas. He had worked his way up to be the nickel back and primary punt returner, until suffering a severe leg injury last November. Gordon needed surgery after he was tackled at the end of a return in a game against Green Bay.
