Rams WR Avery could be out for season

St. Louis Rams wide receiver Donnie Avery could miss the entire season after tearing a right knee ligament late in the first half of a preseason game. Avery led the Rams with 47 receptions last season. He was injured with 1:32 to go in the first half of Thursday night’s 36-35 victory at New England when he landed after an attempt at a leaping catch.
