Akron’s Dambrot gets 7-year extension

Akron coach Keith Dambrot, whose team tied a school record for wins last season but was snubbed by the postseason tournaments, agreed in principle to a seven-year contract Friday. The deal makes Dambrot among the top paid coaches in the Mid-American Conference, Akron athletics director Mack Rhoades said.
