Suns hand Lakers second loss in 3 games

Phoenix Suns' Leandro Barbosa(notes), left, of Brazil, and Los Angeles Lakers' Sasha Vujacic(notes), of Slovenia, battle for the ball during the second half of an NBA basketball game Monday, Dec. 28, 2009, in Phoenix. The Suns won 118-103.

Kobe Bryant used harsh language to describe how badly the Lakers beat the Phoenix Suns twice in Los Angeles earlier this season. “And they returned the favor,” he said. Boy did they. The Suns reserves outscored their counterparts 52-31 to help Phoenix rout the reigning NBA champions 118-103 on Monday night.
