Royals’ Aviles leaves with hand injury

Kansas City Royals shortstop Mike Aviles left the game against the Detroit Tigers on Sunday after he was hit in the hand with a pitch. Aviles got hit while he was swinging at a pitch from rookie Armando Galarraga in the top of the seventh. Aviles immediately collapsed to the ground, writhing in pain as he held his hand.
