Canela beat favorite Biggerbadderbetter by 1 1/2 lengths Thursday in the $45,200 SIOR Cup at Churchill Downs. Ridden by Miguel Mena, the 5-year-old Canela ran 1 1-8 miles on the firm turf in 1:49.66, and paid $8.60, $3.80 and $2.60. Biggerbadderbetter returned $2.60 and $2.20, and Fifty Five paid $3.20 to show.
