Bucks G Mo Williams has thumb surgery

Bucks point guard Mo Williams had surgery to repair ligament damage in his right thumb and is expected to be ready for training camp in October. New general manager John Hammond said Thursday that Williams had the surgery on Wednesday. He will have to wait six weeks before beginning basketball-related activity with a splint.
