Zobrist’s hit in 9th gets Rays by Jays

Tampa Bay Rays' Carl Crawford(notes) steals second base ahead of Toronto Blue Jays second baseman Aaron Hill(notes) to get into scoring position in the ninth inning of a baseball game against the Toronto Blue Jay on Wednesday, July 8, 2009, in St. Petersburg, Fla. Crawford went on to score the winning run as the Tampa Bay won 10-9.

Ben Zobrist keeps proving his worth to the Tampa Bay Rays. The first-time All-star, one of the biggest surprises in baseball this season, drove in four runs with a homer and tie-breaking ninth-inning single that gave the AL champions a 10-9 victory over slumping Toronto on Wednesday night. The Rays dropped their division rival in dramatic fashion for the second straight night.
