Teixeira’s go-ahead 3-run HR lifts Yanks

Mark Teixeira bailed out a shaky A.J. Burnett with a go-ahead, three-run homer off Joel Zumaya, and the New York Yankees opened the second half with a 5-3 victory over the Detroit Tigers on Friday night. New York trailed 3-1 against rookie Luke French, then started its comeback with an unearned run in the fifth.
