Padres spoil Zito’s rare complete game

Although his record suggests otherwise, this isn’t the same Barry Zito who struggled for two seasons after signing a $126 million contract with the San Francisco Giants. Zito’s first complete game since 2003 was spoiled by home runs by Scott Hairston and Nick Hundley, which carried the San Diego Padres to a 2-1 win over the Giants on Tuesday night.
