Devils Afleet wins at Santa Anita

Devils Afleet held off fast-finishing D. Double You by a half-length Friday in the $54,536 feature race at Santa Anita. Devils Afleet, ridden by Joe Talamo and carrying 118 pounds, covered 6 1/2 furlongs on the hillside turf course in 1:12.39 and paid $8.20, $3.60 and $2.60. The victory was the second in five lifetime starts for Devils Afleet and was worth $31,200, raising the 3-year-old’s career…
