Pittsburgh men’s basketball coach Jamie Dixon signed a two-year contract extension Wednesday, ending any speculation he might leave the Panthers for a higher-paying job. George Mason coach Jim Larranaga (lah-rah-NAY-guh) has signed a contract extension through the 2015-16 season. Larranaga’s new deal was announced Wednesday by the school. He led George Mason to a surprising Final Four berth in the 2006 NCAA tournament.
