Craig Anderson is making Tomas Vokoun’s starting job look tenuous. The Dallas Stars acquired defenseman Andrew Hutchinson from the Tampa Bay Lightning on Sunday, trading away the rights to winger Lauri Tukonen, who plays in Europe. Hutchinson has appeared in 97 career games with Nashville, Carolina and Tampa Bay. He has 10 goals and 23 assists. He is scoreless in two appearances with Tampa Bay this season.

MRI tests on injured Dallas linebacker DeMarcus Ware and running back Marion Barber revealed no significant damage a day after both were injured in the Cowboys’ Thanksgiving Day win over Seattle. An MRI test on Ware’s hyper-extended left knee showed no ligament damage Friday. An MRI on Barber’s right fifth toe, which was dislocated, revealed no fracture.

Dolphins linebacker Joey Porter has been fined ,500 for unsportsmanlike conduct during Miami’s 48-28 loss to New England on Sunday. NFL spokesman Corry Rush said Friday that Porter was fined for verbally abusing the opponent after the play was over.
