Harness driver Tim Tetrick broke the single-season record with his 1,078th victory of the year Tuesday night at Dover Downs. Tetrick, 26, got the win on a pacing mare, Stonebridge Kisses, taking the lead in the final one-eighth of a mile to finish in 1 minute, 51.4 seconds and break the record previously set by Walter Case Jr.

Veteran jockey E.J. Perrodin remained in intensive care Saturday, a day after a filly threw him and then fell on top of him during warmups for a race at New Orleans Fair Grounds. The 50-year-old rider has a broken pelvis and ribs and a lacerated liver, his agent, Tony Martin, said Saturday. Perrodin is in stable condition at Tulane Medical Center, the agent added.
