2 Vick co-defendants get 18, 21 months

Seahawks RB Alexander practices again

Shaun Alexander practiced for the second consecutive day for the Seahawks on Thursday. That makes it more likely he will play Sunday at Philadelphia for the first time since he sprained his knee 3 1/2 weeks ago. Chiefs QB Croyle misses another practice

Chiefs quarterback Brodie Croyle missed practice for the second straight day Thursday because of a sore back and his availability for Kansas City’s game against San Diego was uncertain. Croyle, a second-year pro and the Chiefs’ quarterback of the future, started the last two games but got hit in the back by a knee in the first quarter last week against Oakland.

Rams QB Bulger ruled out of Falcons game

Vinny Testaverde practiced for a second straight day Thursday and remained in line to start for the Carolina Panthers against San Francisco. The 44-year-old Testaverde missed last Sunday’s loss to New Orleans after his back stiffened a day earlier. Testaverde also missed one game and portions of another earlier in the season with a right Achilles’ tendon injury.

Saltus, Groom share Cambodian Open lead

Bryan Saltus of the United States put his new putter to good use as he shot a 5-under 67 for a share of the lead after two rounds of the Cambodian Open on Friday. Saltus joined first-round leader Adam Groom, with the Australian shooting a 68 in the $300,000 Asian Tour event. This is the first Cambodian Open, played on one of just three golf courses in the Southeast Asian nation.
