Conner, Stars defeat Lightning 5-1

Chris Conner had two goals and an assist, Marty Turco stopped 22 shots, and the Dallas Stars beat the Tampa Bay Lightning 5-1 on Saturday night in the preseason finale for both teams. Niklas Hagman, Jeff Halpern and Brenden Morrow added goals for Dallas. Sergei Zubov had three assists, and Trevor Daley helped set up two goals for the Stars (4-2-1).

Rangers top Flyers in fight-filled game

Rangers defenseman Marc Staal fired a shot in off the right post with 1:11 left in the third period to give New York a 3-2 win over the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday night.
